While a vacation would be nice. You don’t always need a big getaway to reset your systems and your mood. Time is limited. Often, resources are limited. You’re doing more than you ever thought possible with very little time. A 10-minute reset can be a powerful tool in your toolbox. Write and Release
I do this a lot and never really had a label for it. I’m very much a person who needs to write the thoughts. I have pros and cons lists. I have a written strategy for everything I want to attack. I’m the note taker in meetings. Finally framing the psychology around it made me want to practice it more but also practice writing and releasing with more intention and using it as a productive reset.
Re-frame Your Focus
This is a great exercise to do with the whole family! Remember that your children may not know how to fully express their emotions and therefore may spend too much time in an unhealthy line of thought or fear. By writing and releasing, there’s no fear that anyone else will see what anyone else wrote. They can release the feelings that they may not know how to express and there’s an exercise at the end of that will help everyone re-frame their focus on one thing each of you can control and end on a positive note.
