Hi, I’m Ammie Dover.
I created Caregiving Insider when I was actively caregiving, after my better half was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin Lymphoma. We spent years battling cancer, the healthcare system, and maintaining the health of our household.
During that time, I learned something nobody warned me about. The medical system is built around the patient, but the patient spends far more time at home with their family caregiver than with their medical team. Caregivers handle medications, appointments, insurance calls, emotional support, and the household, often with very little guidance and almost no support for themselves.
Caregiving Insider exists to change that.
